Under the patronage of Dr. Nizar Haddad, Director General, the National Agricultural Research Center (NARC) ,organized a scientific day for Horticulture Research Directorate, in the presence of excellencies, dean of agriculture colleges and horticulture specialists.
Haddad confirmed the significance of such a day in highliting the implementation of scientific research outcomes and familiarizing expertise and groups of interest ,with the achievements of Horticulture Research Directorate and its contribution to scientific research at the local and international levels. On the other hand, Haddad emphasized that NARC is looking forward to developing horticultural approaches and management to enhance food security and promote agricultural sector towards sustainable development.
Dr. Salam Ayoub, director of Horticulture Resaearch Directorate pointed that achievements are reflected through several scientific papers and innovative research projects,in corporation with national and international partners.
His Excellency, Prof. Mostafa Qrunfleh, described NARC as“house of expertise “in terms of scientific agricultural research, expressing at the same time his appreciation for NARC’s efforts in supporting the agricultural sector with the applied scientific researches.
On his part, Prof. Sameeh Abu-Bakr, Dean of Agricultural Faculty at Al-Balqa Applied University, drew attention to collaboration between the university and NARC regarding capacity building of several agricultural engineers.
