NARC embraces New Pioneering Projects in the Agricultural Innovation Incubator

During the proceedings of a workshop held by the Economic and Social Council at NARC, Dr. Nizar Haddad, the Director General of NARC signed agreements for newly embraced pioneering projects in the Agricultural Innovation Incubator, through the initiative that was first launched in February 2019 to offer a comprehensive package of technical consultations and logistical support for new projects to benefit from research programs at NARC, for the purpose of preserving the sustainability of those pioneering projects making those in charge more qualified and capable of being competitive the market.

Haddad captioned the success of the previous projects in the incubator through the real partnership with NARC, and stated that the opportunity for submitting new applications to the incubator is still open to all those interested. He also added that the Agricultural Innovation Incubator came to embrace the pioneering and innovative ideas to promote them in order to enhance the effective partnership with the emerging projects.

Eng. Ammar Hattar, Director of the Intellectual Property Protection Unit, said that the number of innovative projects that have joined the incubator so far reached nine projects and the chance is still open.

On their projects, Mr. Ahmed Mayas, Executive Director of Mayas Foundation for Hydroponics Systems, explained that the production of fresh vegetables is carried out through hydroponic technique and under water conditions with less amounts of water and fertilizers to end up with a product of high quality specifications.

On the other hand, pharmacist Fayrouz Abdul Salam Anabtawi, Director of Nida Hijazi, represented the notion of the work done by her company, that specializes in medical cosmetics of honey products for skin and body care.
