On behalf of the Director General of NARC, Dr. Adel Al Abed, Director of the Jordan Valley Agricultural Research Center, graduated 30 participants in a training course on date palm service and breeding operations organized by NARC in cooperation with the Agricultural Engineers Association in Deir Alla.

This course comes within the framework of the continuous efforts of NARC to reinforce networking with various institutions, including syndicates, in order to qualify and train agricultural engineers in some agricultural operations to help them become more competent utilizing scientific research outputs, and to transfer the expertise and modern technology to farmers.

Al Abed said that the challenges facing agricultural engineers in their quest for job opportunities require raising their level of technical and professional expertise to become job makers rather than job seekers.

On the importance of this training course, Eng. Mohamed Tawalbeh, Secretary of Board of the Agricultural Engineers' Association said that such courses contribute to qualify engineers by increasing their knowledge in field applications to raise their level of professional work.

The President of the Agricultural Engineers' Association in Deir Alla, Eng Ahmed Al Gharaghir, stated that efforts exerted by the Association's board are continuous to support and develop the scientific and technical capabilities through conducting training courses, lectures and workshops. He also added that there are plans to conduct more scientific meetings in the future.
