The Director General of the National Agricultural Research Center (NARC), Dr. Nizar Haddad, hosted at NARC an academic delegation from the University of Plymouth in the UK; Prof. Richard Preziosi, Head of School of Biological and Marine Sciences, and Prof. Jennifer Rowntree, Associate Professor of Ecological Genetics, accompanied by Dr. Almoayied Assayed, from the Royal Scientific Society.
Haddad expressed that this visit aims at building bridges of future cooperation to strengthen partnerships of NARC with academic institutions, which will have a prominent role in implementing joint projects and exchanging scientific expertise between the two parties, which will reflect positively on the development of scientific research, the true asset to achieve comprehensive agricultural development.
During the meeting and the tour to NARC various departments and laboratories that the visiting delegation had, Prof. Richard Preziosi valued the scientific and research capabilities and infrastructure of NARC, which he described as a catalyst for building partnerships with the University of Plymouth, to exchange experiences and visits between researchers and search for efficient expertise to capacity building and investment in research staff.
