Agricultural map
The modeling and initial assessment of the suitability of agricultural land for several types of use was carried out based on the actual land capacity of the different land use types, namely irrigated field crops, irrigated vegetables, and irrigated fruit trees. Accordingly, the suitability and appropriateness of the land for each type of agricultural use has been determined and the type specified in the implementation (soil management) was indicated to, and the remainder is classified as inappropriate. The suitability of the treasury land for each of the crops was classified into several categories (suitable, suitable with rock limiter, suitable with gravel limiter, suitable with gravel and rock limiter). GIS and RS remote sensing technologies were also used, With the need for field verification upon implementation.
The suitability classification is the optimal scenario for irrigated crops, irrigated trees, and irrigated vegetables on safe underground pumping basins.
Water Harvesting Map
The rainfall rates of the Kingdom during the last thirty rainy seasons for the period between (1990-2019), which were prepared specifically for the study by the Meteorological Department/ Ministry of Transport, were approved and provided to NARC on 04/01/2021 for approval in the implementation of the study. In the first phase, NARC recommends the adoption of rainfall rates (Rainfall Isohytes) from the outputs of the Badiya Research Reference Point projects in determining the rain classification of the areas to be prioritized for implementation, provided that detailed information is requested from the National Agricultural Research Center (NARC)
Flash Flood Map Report
The maximum rates of flash flood quantities have been translated into the severity, degree and level of vulnerability to flash flood severity depending on its characteristics. Considering that the severity and level of danger is an explanation of the generated flood information. It depends on the type of hazard information required, the severity of the exposure and type of items at risk. Therefore, a map classifying the severity of flash flood exposure was produced by applying the Integrated Context Analysis (ICA) methodology at the aquarium level as a single unit at the exit point located at the end of the estuary.
