The Akoub cultivation project is an innovative agricultural initiative aimed at generating sustainable profit while contributing to the preservation of the Akoub plant, which is at risk of extinction. The project focuses on cultivating Akoub in a controlled and organized environment outside its natural mountainous habitat, specifically in Al-Ramtha.
The process begins with carefully selecting and filtering seeds to ensure high quality and eliminate damaged or infected ones. The seeds then go through several preparation stages before being planted in seedling trays. Afterward, they are transferred to greenhouse conditions as an initial phase, and later to open-field cultivation.
